MOSCOW 2033: In the video games Metro 2033 and Metro, Last Light the world lies in ruins after an apocalyptic event. The few survivors have taken shelter in the Moscow metro system and the gamer have to survive all the dangers that appear in the tunnels. In February 2019, the third part, Metro Exodus, is launched, survivors exit the metro system and have to meet the challenges that exist above ground.
STOCKHOLM TODAY: To create awareness about the third part, Metro Exodus, we launched a campaign in the metro where our target audience, i.e. gamers, could engage in an interactive competition following the game’s narrative: get out of the metro system and out into the cold winter.
Being a part of the game experience! When entering the metro station Hötorget in the central of Stockholm the game is on. By interacting with digital adshels and using the mobile phone, our target audience will be guided by instructions to different stations in the search for the right way out. The winner was the one who exit the right exit in the shortest period of time and was rewarded a Xbox One X and Metro Exodus Collectors Edition.
